Kathy and I set out to hike the Picuris Trail yesterday (Oct. 18, 2014). The Picuris Trail climbs to the rim of the gorge from the Taos Junction bridge area. After a short while ascending, we came to an unanticipated fork in the trail, marked by a new sign. A leg connecting the Picuris Trail to the Slide Trail had been added. It’s a short, but worthwhile.
